Our Responsibilities
Max Method LLC provides health insurance software that may contain PHI from customers and agents. As a Business Associate under HIPAA, we are required to:
Maintain the confidentiality and security of PHI.Implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect PHI. Report any unauthorized use or disclosure of PHI to Covered Entities.Ensure that our employees, agents, and subcontractors adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Use and Disclosure of PHI
We may use and disclose PHI for purposes related to our services, including but not limited to:
Providing and managing software services.
Supporting customer and agent inquiries.
Improving software functionality and security.
Business Associate Agreements (BAAs)
All agents and entities utilizing the HIPAA-protected features of our software are required to sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Max Method LLC. The BAA outlines the responsibilities and obligations of both parties to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Your Rights
Agents and customers have the following rights regarding their PHI:
Right to Access: You have the right to access and obtain a copy of your PHI.Right to Amend: You have the right to request an amendment to your PHI if you believe it is incorrect or incomplete.Right to an Accounting of Disclosures: You have the right to request an accounting of disclosures of your PHI made by Max Method LLC.
Complaints
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with Max Method LLC or with the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). We will not retaliate against you for filing a complaint.
